  • Multan/Sindhi enamelled...

    Size: Adjustable

    -
    PK0912-051

A lovely necklace arrangement combining different antique Multan and Sindhi silver and enamel components from Pakistan. Multan was well-known for its enamellled work. However the technique was lost long time ago and true old Multan pieces have become increasingly rarer and harder to find. This necklace features well-worn silver and enamel plaques and pendants as well as two very original Multan silver beads. We draw your attention to the most original pendant in the shape of an acorn hanging from the main rectangular pendant. It is made of silver, enamel and wood. The very first time we see a pendant like this. An arrangement with a superb patina and wonderful tribal flavour.  Adjustable lenght. Central piece: 67mm x 130mm.

  • Multan tiger amulet silver...

    Lenght: 33 cm

    Weight: 225 grs.

    Price €3,250.00
    PK0912-050

A superb necklace where each of its components is outstanding in its own right. Two old Multan silver plaques with characteristic enamelled floral decoration in blue and red. Pieces of this quality have become scarcer and harder to find and witnesses of a technique sadly lost long ago. Tiny blue glass beads and old Sindh silver beads from Pakistan. But what catches the eye is the stunning central silver pendant-amulet. From a Pakistani or Indian origin it is crammed with small cabochons of turquoise and of lovely shaped glass bezels where the awesome skill of a master artisan has made that almost transparent glass takes the mellow palette of amber. Simply amazing. And then a tiger claw in a silver setting, as powerful amulet and symbol of status and regalia. A pendant with well over a year old meant for a khan or other notable in the community. All combined to make this piece unique. Great patina. Central piec: 125 mm x 80 mm.

    Enjoy it!.
