This kind of ring is quite characteristic of the area of Goulimine in Sout6hern Morocco and Mauritania. In fact, sometimes this sort of arrangement and the way the slice of bead is used is referred to as -gem- or -pearl- from Goulimine. These beads were very much valued in Africa since the XVIth century and were used as trade beads. Mid-XXth century or earlier.
